History / Background

The Living Well Church was founded in February 2002 after a year-long prayer, Bishop met with about 7 people every Sunday as they focuses their prayer on the Church plant. During prayer, God gave Bishop, John 4, the story of the Samaritan woman. This woman went looking for water and met Christ at the well. Jesus told her…”whoever drinks of the water I give him, will never thirst again.” She went back to the village and told them…”come see a man!” The revelation Bishop received from this was when you meet Christ, your life will never be the same. It is from this story that the Living Well Church was named and took up the mantra – God using ordinary people to do the extraordinary. God used an ordinary samaritan woman to bring her entire village to the knowledge of Christ.

Over the years, The Living Well Church has moved from various locations until we finally settled at 205 E. Mitchell Street. As we continue to grow locally and globally, we have planted several churches in Africa: Specifically Kenya and Liberia. The Living Well has been going on missions since 2006 providing free medical camps, Evangelism, Food distribution and Leadership Training. Our local missions outreach is held October annually.
