Worship Ministry

VISION

To lead others into All Out Uncompromised worship to God. Strive to worship God in Holiness and in the Spirit of Truth.

John 4:23
23: Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshippers will worship the father in the spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the father seeks. 24: God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in Spirit and in truth.

Psalm 29:2
Ascribe to the Lord the glory due his name
worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness.

MISSION

We will be a people who give honor to God and glory to God through music and through our daily activities knowing that worship is one way of showing our love for God.

We shall strive to make worship a daily act and give the best of our talents, effort and creativity to God.

Strive to mature spiritually through personal worship, prayer, study of the word and live in Holiness.

1 Peter 2:9 – But ye [are] a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvelous light.

EXPECTATIONS – Colossians 3:16 – Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom; teaching and admonishing one another in psalms, hymns and spiritual songs, singing in grace with your heart to the Lord.

Being a member of the worship team you:

  • Are expected to bring your best effort and best offering of praise to God.
  • Will take time to rehearse on my own and commit music to memory to the best of my ability.
  • Will be open to the Holy Spirit leading.
  • Will work with a servant attitude toward the vision of the church, worship ministry and the goals of ministry.
  • Participate in Wednesday Prayer and Fasting and Friday keshas.
PRAISE

Psalms 150: 1 – 6 “Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpets sounds; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals.

GOAL

  • Read the bible daily.
  • Be prepared for all rehearsals/worship.
  • Memorize songs/notes.
  • Consistently seek out ways and opportunities to become a better musician.
  • Celebrate Jesus as I celebrate others.
  • Serve in humility / its not about me and my gifting, its about God.

Praise and worship can be done in silence, in words and in song and it is said that God inhabits the praises of his people. That means that He is dwelling with or living in our praises and worshiping of Him. A great way to rid yourself of depression, sadness, or when your having a dark night of the soul is to start praising God and worshiping Him.
